Hey there.  My name is Patrick Leckey – as here’s a little about me …

I current work as a Software Designer for SeeWind Design, a small firm in Ottawa, Canada.  Previously I have worked for both Adobe and Hewlett-Packard, most notably having my name in the Credits section of Adobe Acrobat 9.x.

I’m currently married to my lovely and wonderful wife Katherine – no kids yet, but two Fur Babies.  Oreo, our black and white cat; and Fudgee-O (or just Fudge) our Chocolate Lab.  Kind of went with a cookie theme there, which is obviously why we refer to them as “the cookies”.  In my spare time I work on a bunch of personal software projects and websites.  Currently I’m very much into home theatre video streaming and have been following the ffdshow guys closely.  I also play airsoft and when time permits, play some golf.

We’re back!

Unfortunately we went down due to a combination of my laziness in updating patches on my site and a script kiddie finding their way to Google and searching “hack”.  It was a really amateurish job, and was only possible because I’d been so busy I hadn’t updated my software.

But I digress – we’re back with new software (decided to give WordPress a try).  It auto-updates itself when new versions and patches are released, so that’s a definite plus.  I’m also going to make an effort to post more regularly, keep my projects more up-to-date and generally spend more time typing for nobody to read.
